Doug Hurley

Space/Aero-Space, STEM+AD

A former NASA astronaut and decorated, quarter-century Marine Corps officer and leader. Also, a veteran of three spaceflights, he was the pilot on STS‐127 and STS‐135, the last space shuttle flight. On his third and final flight, he was the Commander of the first crewed test flight of the SpaceX Crew Dragon, the Demo-2 Mission. During this mission, he also served as a Flight Engineer on the International Space Station for Expedition 63 and has spent a total of 93 days in space. Hurley holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tulane University. Prior to joining NASA, he was an F/A-18 fighter pilot and test pilot participating in multiple test programs including the development of the F/A-18 Super Hornet. He is currently a Senior Director with the Northrop Grumman Corporation in Magna, Utah.
